Switching From What You Have
A shared keypad code or key card cannot tell you who actually used it. QAccess gives every contractor and staff member their own smartphone credential, so every entry is logged against a real person in real time — and you can see that record, or revoke their access, from the cloud portal instantly.
A lost phone alone does not grant entry — QAccess requires a two-factor (2FA) prompt to be completed at the door before it unlocks. You can also revoke that person's access instantly from the cloud portal the moment you are notified, with no need to re-code a shared keypad or collect a physical card.
Installation & Hardware
No. QAccess connects to the door controllers your building already has, modernising your access control by adding smartphone-based entry on top of your current system.
No. Because QAccess works with your existing door hardware, doors are connected one at a time and stay in normal use throughout — there is no building-wide lockout during rollout.
Pricing & Getting Started
Pricing depends on the number of doors and entry points at your site, so there is no single public number. Book a demo or get in touch and we will put together a quote based on your building.
Yes — book a short demo and we will walk through the contractor tap-in experience and the admin dashboard together.
Using QAccess Day to Day
Yes. Every door activation is logged against the person who triggered it, with a timestamp, and the full history is exportable from the admin portal — useful for contractor sign-in records or a security review.
Yes. QAccess works on iOS, Android, or just a browser — there's no special hardware needed and no app store download required to get started.
No separate sign-up. You'll get an email invite from the building's admin with a link to register your phone as your access credential — that link expires after an hour for security, so it's worth actioning as soon as it arrives. Once you've registered, you can tap or scan in straight away.
Managing Contractor Access
An admin assigns that contractor's door permissions in the portal and sends them an email invite. They register their own smartphone via the link, and once that's done they can tap or scan in — no keypad code or physical card to hand over or collect afterwards.
Yes. Permissions are set per person and per door, not just building-wide, so a contractor can be given access to exactly the doors their job needs and nothing more.
Yes — the admin portal includes remote unlock, so you can open a door for someone on-site without needing to be there yourself.
Setup links expire after an hour for security. If someone misses it, an admin can simply resend a fresh invite from the portal — no need to redo any of the permission setup already in place for them.
Yes. When granting access, an admin can set an expiry — a single day or a specific date range — so a one-off contractor's access switches off on its own without anyone needing to remember to revoke it.
Scale & Privacy
As many as you need. QAccess supports multiple buildings and organisations from the same account, with a switcher in the top bar to move between them — there's no cap on how many sites you can manage from one login.
See our Privacy Policy (linked in the footer) for details on what personal information we collect, how it's used, and your choices.
